The older I get, the easier it is for me to focus on me. The kids are grown, and hey we did a great job at that, and my husband and I are ready to tackle our new found freedom. I am over 45 and I am comfortable in my own skin. I may not be perfect, but I love where I am in life! Go ahead and feel great about yourself! 

The results of a survey by Wakefield Research and Post Great Grains Cereal,  revealed a lot of great things about women over 40 and why getting older feels great!

  • Women reveal why getting older feels great: 73 percent of women have reinvented themselves after turning 40.  In fact, 80 percent of women love themselves more now than they did 10 years ago, according to a survey by Wakefield Research for Post Great Grains Cereal.
  • Most commonly, women who say they’ve reinvented themselves say they have improved their health (50 percent), found a new passion (42 percent), and changed their career (23 percent).  They know better than ever that it’s never too late to make a change.
  • When women pick the best part of getting older, being comfortable in their own skin (38 percent) tops the list, followed by gaining perspective (34 percent), and feeling a sense of security (12 percent).

As for those “learning experiences” along the way? Maybe they weren’t so bad after all.  86 percent of women agreed that their mistakes that led to failures were worth the learning experience.
