Isn’t the sight of a sleeping baby just so precious? All curled up, sweet and not a care in the world. Too bad parents don’t always get the chance to sleep so peacefully.

Daylight savings time is just around the corner and were about to turn the clocks back an hour, sleep patterns are sure to get a bit ruffled. How will baby adjust to the time change? Will we get to sleep in or will wake up time come earlier for baby and parents? Do adjustments need to be made in feeding or naps?

I bet a few new parent’s are wondering, How to survive daylight savings time with baby.

A 2013 survey conducted by Pampers found that nearly one-quarter of mothers (24%) felt that a dry diaper was the number one thing that enabled their baby to sleep through the night.  Moms instinctively understand the importance of sleep - and research proves her right! Sleep contributes to well-being in many ways, from physical and cognitive development to sociability and day-to-day mood. That’s why Pampers is so committed to keeping baby dry during the most important parts of their day: love, play and sleep.  Through Pampers’ extensive research on sleep, they’ve learned that babies are more vulnerable to waking up when they’re wet. Unlike other diapers that offer two layers, Pampers diapers have three absorbent layers that provide up to 12 hours of overnight dryness protection. It’s Pampers hope to minimize sleep disruptions so that little ones get the sweet slumber they deserve and need!

Here a few mom tips on how to survive daylight savings time with baby.

First off, go with the flow. If you’re lucky baby won’t struggle too much with the time change.

Make sure you follow the same bedtime routine. Just because the clocks get turned back, doesn’t mean you have to make big changes.

Prepare for a few days of an early wake up time by getting your butt to bed early for a change. You deserve it!

Make sure baby has a dry diaper before they hit the crib. Try out Pampers Baby Dry diapers. Your baby can get Up to 12 hours of overnight protection and dryness! A dry baby means more sleep all around.

Enjoy every minute baby is awake. You will miss these days!

Thanks to Pampers, I was able to stop by the Pregnancy Care Center in my local town and donate Pampers Diapers and wipes. Be sure to pay it forward, any time you get the chance!

Keeping a sleep routine is key! Our routine is baths, snack or bottle, stories, songs, and prayers. A sound machine or fan also helps. With daylight savings, we try to get our boys to sleep 10 minutes early during the week leading up to the time change.
