How To Remove Stains From Tupperware
Tupperware containers are portable, convenient and they don’t break very easily. The downside to these containers is that they can become stained rather quickly. The good news is that there are some things you can do to remove stains from Tupperware containers.
Clean with vinegar – Vinegar is ideal for getting stains out of Tupperware containers. First, wash the Tupperware using hot water and mild dish soap. Then, rinse the containers with warm water and add some white vinegar. Let the vinegar set for five minutes, pour out the vinegar and wash again with hot water and mild dish soap.

Clean with baking soda – To get those stubborn stains from your Tupperware containers, baking soda is your answer. The cleansing properties in baking soda not only help to get rid of stains but also to get rid of odors as well. All you need to do is create a paste of hot water and baking soda. Rub the paste onto the inside of the container let it set overnight and then rinse with warm water.
Clean with bleach – You probably already know that bleach pretty much cleans about anything. To get rid of stains using bleach, combine two parts of water and one part of bleach. Let this solution soak in the container for an hour. Then, scrub the container using hot water and dish soap.
Clean with Alka Seltzer – Alka Seltzer is not just great for dentures but it also works well as a stain remover. Just add two Alka Seltzer tablets to a container with hot water. Then, just allow to sit overnight and rinse the container with warm water.
Leave out in the sun – Letting Tupperware sit out in the sunshine is much like sitting out in the sunshine in order to bleach your hair. Leave the containers out on the deck or porch for 3-4 hours and the sun will instantly fade the stains. Once you bring the container back inside, be sure to wash it with warm water and dish soap.

I have a Tupperware brand container that’s been in our family awhile and some cupcakes got left in it and stained the bottom so bad that even soaking in bleach didn’t work. I am beside myself on what to do. Will try the vinager and baking soda.
