  2. My Mom made chicken & waffles like you do. I always loved this as a kid. I make a version more like chicken ala king over waffles. Creamier, with onions, peppers ( or pimentos), sometimes green olives. Always a little garlic.! Love it!

  3. I heat broth with chopped onions and some parsley, salt and pepper to taste. Been eating it this way as long as I can remember. My Pa Dutch grandmother passed it down to my mom, and now I have it. And will pass it down to my grandchildren.

  4. We live in Florida but my husband’s mother was from Pennsylvania. He grew up on this style of chicken and Waffles. About 7 years ago we were in a restaurant and chicken and waffles was all the craze so he ordered them and was very disappointed when he got waffles with fried chicken and maple syrup. We will have to make this real soon. Thanks for reminding me

    1. The best way to make it is with a roast chicken, but this is easy and quicker. Chicken bits simmered in gravy is the ONLY way to make chicken and waffles, in my opinion. I never knew there was any other way until very recently, lol. Thanks for sharing your recipe!

  12. My daughter had chicken and waffles and has been asking me to make here some. Now I have a recipe.
